Does your Mom have dual citizenship?
Does your Mom have a medical diagnosis of cognitive or memory impairment?
Is anyone in the US her PoA?
Do you know if your Mom assigned your sister as a Philipino version of PoA, legal in that country?

I think due to the international nature of this issue, you really need to consult with an attorney.

Your fiancé is in living the Philippines? And you own a home there?

Maybe I'm missing something but why can't you go there yourself and bring mom home? Or have your fiancé bring her to you?

This is a duplicate post. This is her profile. Think she may just be trying to clarify her first post. Raggee, its better if you stay with your first post and answer questions asked there. It gets confusing otherwise.

I agree, JoAnn. It’s probably better to posts to the first posts. It could become confusing. It seems like it would be easier for the OP to have one posting.

No need to have two posts. She could have added additional information to the first post. Perhaps she didn’t think about doing that.

This post has all the info that is lacking from the original and I don't really see any benefit in linking the two 🤷🏻‍♀️

I guess people can just read both posts if they want to.

Seems like the additional info could have been added to the first post in as a reply.

Reggae, it would be good to update your profile (or put in an answer) to say what is wrong with your mother. Many 84 year-olds are quite healthy.

Then it would be good to post WHY this might be happening. If it’s about money, please explain. It’s all anonymous, so it’s just to explain the situation, not sheer nosiness. If it’s about who owns which properties, that might help too. The situation with you and your fiancee living a long way apart is also hard to understand. If it’s about a long standing disagreement with your sister, that’s relevant too.

If you have to get legal advice, the lawyer will want all these details. Get it straight by explaining it here and you will save lawyer’s fees. A short written summary avoids a long and expensive meeting. Yours, Margaret
