I recently returned to reading the posts here. And I will be frank: when a rant/personal story runs on and on and onnnnnnnn, without commas, semi-colons, paragraph breaks, attention to spelling, well, I stop reading. And too much unnecessary information, superfluous details, etc. —well, you may have a sincere need, but you are losing most of your audience with your poor writing, and perhaps alienating the more intelligent readers who might otherwise offer useful advice.

If it is a legal question, particularly one whose answer may vary from state to state, well, for Christ’s sake, consult an attorney, not some sponsored, random website like this one.

I get it: some just need a place to whine and moan, and elicit sympathy. That is fine. But some of these topics just spiral on into Crazy Cloud Cuckoo Land. I’m thinking of one poster, with multiple aliases, in particular. Anyone agree?

I am relatively new here, and I have found this to be the perfect spot to "park myself" and read and absorb -- information comes to me from these perfect strangers who take the time to share and to teach. And I have learned the different personalities of the contributors here, and can sometimes anticipate if a comment will generate a snarky response or two. God, I value all of it, I truly do.

So, to those of you who comment frequently, on your good days and on your bad days, honestly THANK YOU. You do not know how your wisdom is valued by lots of folks just like me. Please don't stay away because of the nonsense brought about by the "OP with multi personalities"... those long and nasty threads will disappear, but I will still be here, looking for you to share your experiences and your wisdom.

{If you, too, were here all weekend and had the "pleasure" of reading ALL of the messages --- before the moderators cleaned it up and deleted many of her angry/sharp-tongued/vulgar responses to anyone and everyone....well then, you missed the show...lucky you. It was a lot. Bonus: I learned a few new words and phrases!}

We are an international site. Primarily those from the US post and even then we have different cultures that English is not their first language. Also, they may be writing text where punctuation and good grammer go by the wayside. I watch my grandson text and I am sure that he is not making sure he dots all his Ts and Is.

We have one member that copies the text and transfers it to a word document. Then she puts all the punctuation and paragraphs in to be able to understand the post better.

Yes, some give too much info and others not enough. Like one of the threads going on. If OP had told us a little of her circumstances in the beginning or even made it plainner when I posted instead of attacking me, the thread may have been a lot different and not all this dissension.

JoAnn, I was so stunned by the angry, knee-jerk reaction to your post by the OP the other day. It was clear to me and I am sure to most readers, that you were simply pointing out that the OP may have misunderstood the duties of her mother's aid. Your response was thoughtful and respectful. Was it direct? Yes. Could the OP have had her feelings hurt because of this? Potentially. But she just went off, and then doubled down, and from that point on, nothing could have stopped her spiral. Nothing. Not even your apology. For three days I have worried that you were thinking you were the cause to the whole mess. Please know that anyone at any time could have been the one to provoke.

I have to say I have been less on Forum than in the past, and I have now run into a place where there appears to be a lot of "personality stuff", argument and dissension. I am laughingly chalking it up to full moon. This is normally a very "sane" site on Social Media. It will likely become boring again soon, or we can at least hope for that.
